There are six individual local authorities covering the districts of Berkshire. We are working with the following partnerships and each has now published its own local Serious Violence Response Strategy, in line with the requirements of the Serious Violence Duty, available via the links below:
- Bracknell Community Safety Partnership: Through its steering group, it oversees the delivery of the Bracknell Community Safety Plan. In addition, the partnership has published its Serious Violence Response Strategy.
- Reading Community Safety Partnership has published its Community Safety and Serious Violence Strategy.
- Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Community Safety Partnership has published its Serious Violence Strategy.
- Slough Violence Taskforce: Violence Taskforce coordinates partners within the borough to provide a focused, evidence-based response to serious violence and to proactively work to reduce violent crime before it happens, enabling a long-term, sustainable solution. It has published its Serious Violence Strategy..
- West Berkshire Council’s Building Communities Together partnership is its community safety partnership. It has published its Serious Violence Strategy.
- Wokingham Community Safety Partnership oversees the delivery of the Wokingham Community Safety Strategy. It has published both its Serious Violence Strategy and the underpinning Strategic Needs Assessment evidence base.
Representatives from all six of these local partnerships are members of the Violence Prevention Partnership and are represented at all key governance meetings coordinated by the VPP central team.
